STOP The Deportation Machine

August 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

STOP The Deportation Machine! (Solidarity Warriors) Rally in front of Immigration Court

NO MORE CAGES! NO MORE ICE!

Join a powerful grassroots movement in Denver protesting ICE kidnappings at courthouses and abductions nationwide. This Denver protest stands against new ICE detention centers in Colorado and shows how community involvement can support immigrants, friends, and neighbors.

Who We Are

This protest is organized by Solidarity Warriors, an action-focused group dedicated to resisting autocracy, theocracy, and oligarchy. Our mission is simple: restore empathy as a central value of government. We believe in nonviolent resistance, and this will be a peaceful protest.

ICE Abductions at Courthouses and Beyond

Across the country, ICE has escalated its enforcement tactics. Agents now detain individuals—often with no criminal history—right outside immigration courts.

  • Nationwide Reports: Advocates in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Phoenix report coordinated arrests immediately after hearings. Sometimes, cases were even dismissed moments earlier. As a result, people are left vulnerable without warning or due process. (The Guardian, AP News).
  • Fear in Communities: In Los Angeles, a video captured a man pleading “Help me, please!” as agents carried him away from a courthouse entrance. (Los Angeles Times).

These aggressive tactics have created widespread fear and uncertainty among immigrant communities.

Denver in the National Spotlight

Denver has become an important battleground in the grassroots movement resisting ICE. The city has seen a surge in protests and community actions in recent months.

Solidarity March to Aurora ICE Facility

In June, about 150 demonstrators marched from a local park to the Aurora ICE detention center. This action was organized in solidarity with anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. (Colorado Newsline).

Advocacy for Immigrant Rights in the Spotlight

In March, Denver’s beloved immigrant rights advocate Jeanette Vizguerra was detained by ICE at her workplace. Her arrest sparked outrage statewide. Governors, mayors, and community groups condemned the detention as politically motivated and a violation of due process. (AP News, Washington Post, The Guardian, Denver7).

Why Local Activism Matters

These stories underscore the urgent need for community involvement. They show why local actions—like the Denver protest—are critical in standing up for immigrant rights and pushing back against injustice.
