SUMMARY:WEEKLY: What's the Plan? Call with Indivisible National
DESCRIPTION:Action by action\, day by day\, group by group\, Indivisibles are remaking our democracy. \nBrought together by a practical guide to resist the Trump agenda\, Indivisible is a movement of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members taking regular\, iterative\, and increasingly complex actions to resist the GOPs agenda\, elect local champions\, and fight for progressive policies. \nThey make calls. They show up. They speak with their neighbors. They organize. And through that work\, they’ve built hundreds of mini-movements in support of their local values. And now\, after practice\, training\, and repetition\, they’ve built lasting power on their home turf and a massive\, collective political muscle ready to be exercised each and every day in every corner of the country. \nJoin Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin each week\, as we carve out an hour to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what’s the plan. \nThis is a virtual event.  Link provided after registration.

SUMMARY:Arctic Art & Advocacy Featuring the Work of Michael Boardman
DESCRIPTION:The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge contains over 19 million acres of untouched wilderness. The Refuge is home to vast wildlife populations\, including polar bears\, caribou\, and migratory birds. The Arctic is also the cultural homeland of the Gwich’in and other Indigenous communities who have lived in harmony with the land for generations. \nIn recent weeks\, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced it would open the entire Arctic coastal plain for drilling. Members of Congress from Colorado are also considering a Congressional Review Act\, which would overturn the Biden administration’s Record of Decision providing protections for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. We need to spread the word about the value of the Arctic and what Americans can do to protect this special place. \nJoin us for a community art event featuring the work of artist Michael Boardman\, whose pieces highlight Arctic landscapes and species — especially the region’s extraordinary birdlife. His work captures the stunning beauty of the Arctic Refuge\, the people who live there\, and why it is such an important region to protect from development. \nJoin us Thursday\, November 20 at 5:00 PM at Emmanuel Art Gallery\, 1205 10th St\, Denver\, CO (Auraria Campus). \nRSVP form
