SUMMARY:Signs of Solidarity - Denver Business Know Your Rights Canvass and Training on E. Colfax
DESCRIPTION:Join us to canvass local businesses and to share with them Know Your Rights information to help protect themselves and their employees in case of a raid by ICE. We share with them the importance of making a plan\, training employees and creating safe spaces\, and we suggest what employees should or should not do. Canvassing is a demonstration of our solidarity with all of our Denver community and has been received warmly by the businesses visited. \nWe will meet at 9:00 am for light refreshments and review the canvass material. Orientation and training will take about an hour\, after which those who are able will go door-to-door to businesses in the vicinity of E. Colfax Ave. and Jersey St. We plan on canvassing in pairs for 1 ½ to 2 hours. \nThis event is limited to 15 people.
