Our Purpose

In the face of overwhelming force being used by our government against our communities, we can help by:

  • Reminding people of their constitutional rights and providing key phrases to use to stand up for those rights.
  • Sharing resources for preparing businesses and protecting employees from ICE.
  • Showing people that they are a valued part of our community.

Immigration Raids Spur Activism

The Immigrant Partnership Teams (IPT) and Indivisible Denver Action (IDA) are stepping up to support immigrant businesses and defend their constitutional rights.

In response to calls from the Trump administration to deport millions of immigrant families, people across the United States mobilized. As families were detained and communities disrupted, many felt compelled to act.

Signs of Solidarity emerged from this response, created and supported by Indivisible, a national organization. At the same time, Immigration Partnership Teams (IPT) formed nationwide and started a program: Business Know Your Rights.  Both programs remind us all that our constitutional rights belong to all people living in the United States – immigrants as well as citizens.

In September 2025, a local volunteer group combined Business Know Your Rights with Signs of Solidarity to launch an outreach initiative focused on local businesses.

This volunteer-led effort is now known as the Signs of Solidarity Business Know Your Rights project (SSG).  It is sponsored by Indivisible Denver Action (IDA) and the Denver chapter of Immigration Partnership Teams (IPT).

Volunteers visit businesses to share clear information on how to:

  • Assert their constitutional rights
  • Document potential violations
  • Access community support

📊 Impact:

  • 920 businesses canvassed in 2025
  • Expanding outreach across Denver and Aurora in 2026
  • Collaborating with partner organizations across the metro area, maintaining a shared map of canvassed businesses with contributions from IPT groups in Golden and Arvada

The Signs of Solidarity team has brought vital know-your-rights information to thousands of local businesses!

…and there’s plenty more work ahead.
